 About Our Client:

Our client is a leading pharmaceutical company based in Malta, renowned for its expertise in the development and manufacturing of high-quality active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished dosage forms. With a strong emphasis on solid oral generic pharmaceutical products, they cater to global markets, particularly in Europe and the US. As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a motivated R&D Officer to join their dynamic Research and Development team.

The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented R&D Officer to join our client’s team. This role is essential for leading and coordinating the activities involved in introducing new pharmaceutical products to the manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in pharmaceutical sciences, experience in process technology transfer, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure smooth project execution.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Protocol and Manufacturing Coordination:

• Write, coordinate, and implement protocols and manufacturing instructions for the production of trial, pilot, and validation batches of new products.
• Assist in the manufacture of R&D batches, including the execution of in-process controls and physical tests related to R&D activities.

Project Management:

• Draft, monitor, and actively participate in the execution of project plans for new products.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure projects progress smoothly and meet required timelines.

Quality Management:

• Assist in managing and updating quality-related actions within the R&D department, including standard operating procedures, corrective and preventive actions, change controls, and deviations.

Requirements:

Education:

• A University degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemistry, or a related discipline is required.

Experience:

• Experience working in a pharmaceutical environment is essential, with a preference for those who have worked in Process Technology Transfer for solid oral dosage forms.

Skills:

• Extremely organized with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to understand and achieve strategy and policy implementation.
• Strong teamwork abilities, coupled with self-motivation and attention to detail.
• Results-oriented, with a mindset that aligns with the company’s values.
