The Role:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Production Manager to join our client’s team. This role is crucial for overseeing the production department, ensuring efficient manufacturing processes, and achieving production targets. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing regulations, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Team Development:
- Recruit, mentor, and develop staff in the Production Department.
- Provide guidance and direction to ensure staff performance and professional growth.
Production Planning and Budgeting:
- Ensure that monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-term production plans are achieved within budget.
- Prepare and explain monthly departmental KPI reports to Management.
Quality and Performance Improvement:
- Promote quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization.
- Maintain a constant awareness of the business context and company profitability.
Problem Resolution:
- Provide direction to the Production and Packaging functions to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinate activities related to the investigation of production deviations.
Continuous Improvement:
- Assist the Head of Operations in designing and directing continuous improvement projects.
- Prepare and approve standard operating procedures or policies as required.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Guide staff by example and enforce best practices in Environment, Health, and Safety as per current legislation.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP and Regulatory Affairs standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare, review, and approve production operation documentation.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all production activities.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work effectively cross-functionally with other departments to ensure smooth operations and collaboration.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- Proven experience in production management within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong knowledge of cGMP and regulatory requirements.
Skills:
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Proficient in using relevant software tools and production management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in production management or relevant professional certifications.
- Experience in continuous improvement methodologies and lean manufacturing.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and methodologies.
