Our client, a leading player in the pharmaceutical industry, is expanding its operations and is seeking a skilled individual to join their Engineering team. Operating within a global pharmaceutical network, our client is focused on the development and manufacturing of high-quality medicinal products for international markets, particularly Europe and the US. The production facilities are located in Malta, hold EU GMP certification, and are US FDA-approved, ensuring adherence to the highest industry standards.

The Role:

Our client is looking for a capable and motivated Maintenance Technician to join their team. Reporting to the Technical Supervisor, the selected candidate will be responsible for performing scheduled preventive maintenance, calibrations, corrective maintenance, and ensuring the smooth running of the company’s equipment and utilities. This is a critical role that ensures operational efficiency and compliance with industry regulations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and calibrations on equipment and utilities.
• Conduct corrective maintenance to maintain the proper functioning of machinery.
• Ensure the efficient operation of all equipment, minimizing downtime.
• Work on a rotational shift basis to support continuous operations.
• Assist in identifying and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements:

• A relevant technical qualification; candidates with an Electrical License (Category B) will be given preference.
• Experience in a similar maintenance role, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Willingness to work on a rotational shift basis.
• Strong attention to detail and self-motivation.
• Results-oriented with a positive attitude that aligns with the company’s values.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
• Excellent multitasking and task prioritization skills.
• Proficient in both English and Maltese.
• Computer literate and proactive in executing tasks.
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple responsibilities effectively.
