All Life Sciences Academy Officially Licensed by MFHEA: A New Benchmark for Professional Training in Malta’s Pharma and Healthcare Sectors

The Malta Further & Higher Education Authority (MFHEA) has officially licensed All Life Sciences Academy (ALSA) as a Further Education Institution under Licence Number 2026-009. The licence is valid from 14 August 2026 until 14 August 2031, with the Academy authorised to deliver Further Education Programmes from its registered address at Msida Primary School, Triq Victor Denaro, Msida, MSD 1710, Malta.

This is more than a formal approval. It represents a structural step forward in how professional training can be designed, delivered and recognised within Malta’s life sciences ecosystem.

Why structured training matters more than ever

Many pharmaceutical companies in Malta and across Europe still rely on a patchwork of internal induction programmes, and on-the-job learning for there onboarding. While these approaches have value, they often lack real world expert knowledge which could be handed down by internal senior management but with constraints on there time, and without formal recognition, and alignment with the evolving demands of EU GMP, pharmacovigilance, quality systems and operational excellence.

Also, candidates who want to move across careers have to do long structured courses on a topic they might not even be sure they like.

The result is that these candidates who have do not have the work experience needed to apply for a career change, can now have a susbstantial advantage over other applicants should they wish to apply for a job which they have never touched before.

A licensed Further Education Institution changes the equation. It allows training to move from ad-hoc activity into a structured, quality-assured courses are designed around real operational needs and measured against national standards.

What the licence enables for All Life Sciences and its clients

With the Academy now licensed, All Life Sciences can develop and deliver programmes that directly support the people who keep pharmaceutical operations running. This includes Quality Assurance and Quality Control professionals, production and manufacturing teams, Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacovigilance staff, Qualified Persons and Responsible Persons, as well as operational and compliance managers.

The intention is not to create generic courses, but to build practical, inspection-relevant training that strengthens day-to-day capability. Programmes will focus on the application of knowledge in real working environments rather than theory alone.

This development also strengthens the wider service offering of the company. Clients who already work with All Life Sciences for advisory, recruitment or compliance support will now have access to structured training pathways that complement those services. Stayed tuned to this space as we develop these courses for the pharma sector.

A parallel step for MyCare Malta

At the same time, MyCare Malta, part of All Life Sciences Ltd organisation focused on home care services, has launched its first official training course under the newly licensed Academy. The course has been designed specifically to improve professional standards in caregiving across Malta, supporting carers with the practical knowledge and competencies needed to deliver consistent, high-quality support in people’s homes. This MQF level 3 course will enable us to train and then employ, healthcarers that match our clients needs. Besides developing basic care skills, students will be particularly focused on added health monitoring and reporting, escalation techniques, Basic Life Support and hands on training placement in an elderly care home.

Together, these two initiatives — structured training for the pharmaceutical workforce and formal training for carers — reflect a coordinated company approach to raising professional standards across different parts of the healthcare and life sciences landscape.

Looking ahead

The first pharmaceutical-focused programmes are expected to commence in the coming months once final readiness steps are complete. Content will be shaped by the practical realities of the Maltese and European pharmaceutical landscape, including the increasing emphasis on data integrity, risk-based approaches, cross-functional collaboration, and readiness for regulatory inspections.

Over time, the Academy’s portfolio is expected to expand in response to industry needs. The goal is to create a reliable local source of high-quality, sector-specific training that supports both individual career development and organisational capability building.

A company milestone

The licensing of All Life Sciences Academy is a benchmark moment for the All Pharma Life Sciences Co Ltd. It reflects a long-term commitment to raising professional standards rather than simply responding to immediate commercial opportunities.

By establishing a properly licensed training institution, the company is investing in the foundation that underpins quality, compliance and operational resilience: people who are properly prepared for the work they do.

Further details on upcoming programmes will be announced in the coming weeks.
