Is MyCare Malta free to use?
Yes. The platform itself is free to use. Transaction-based charges may still apply depending on the activity.
What is the booking fee?
MyCare Malta charges €1 for every booking.
Who pays the booking fee?
The general rule is that the client pays the booking fee, but the provider may choose to have it billed to themselves instead.
Who pays the 10% commission?
The supplier always pays the 10% commission on eligible product and service sales.
Do medicine sales carry commission?
No. Medicine sales are excluded from commission.
Do all pharmacy products avoid commission?
No. Only medicine is exempt. Other pharmacy products, such as supplements, disinfection products, perfumes, or equipment, may still carry commission depending on category.
Are all services treated the same way?
No. A basic consultation uses the booking fee model, while procedures, classes, and broader paid services may use the 10% commission model.
Can a clinic or professional also charge their own fees?
Yes. A professional may charge a consultation fee and a clinic may charge a clinic fee. These are provider-owned charges, not MyCare Malta fees.
Do service fees and commissions include VAT?
No. All service fees and commissions do not include VAT.
Can clients donate to charity through the platform?
Yes. At bill closing, the client may choose to round up the bill for charity from the causes available on the platform.
Can I add team members from the portal?
Yes. Team members are added through the Business or Professional Portal.
What information is needed to add a team member?
Name, surname, title, email, mobile, job title, and department. A profile photo is recommended.
Do team members need to accept the invitation?
Yes. They receive a notification and may accept or decline.
Can team members be admins?
Yes. They may be given admin or part-admin rights depending on the role the business assigns them.
Can some team members be shown publicly without being bookable?
Yes. Some team members are only a showcase in the Our Team section, while others may also be configured as bookable professionals.
What is needed to make a team member bookable?
The booking module must be active, and the professional’s availability must be configured for the correct business location.
